  1. Thank you so much for this video- I was inside my Kawasaki, for the first time, and found the nylon wheel, blown to pieces. I found all the parts, along , with the spool ,in the case- I have searched forever, and finally found this vid on installing the governor spool-Thanks ! Thanks ! Thanks!

  2. My cousin has this same make and model. I had to replace the gas tank gasket and noticed the governor arm/shaft easily comes out of the crank case. Im inclined to work on it but am not very knowledgeable. Should this be fixed before its used again?

  3. I have not yet had to hone a bore. I am sure that soon I will have to buy a hone. I may also buy a ridge reamer.

  4. According to my research (google) the governor needed for your model is Briggs and Stratton #391737. That is the whole gear assembly and it comes with the clip. I did not find where the clip is sold separately. Maybe a trip to the hardware store can get you a cheap replacement. Take the gear and all the parts with you. Otherwise, I get some of my parts from a place called ereplacementparts (online).
Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

  5. My 130202-1908-01 is a 84 model and it did not have a spring clip holding on the governor. Should it? The Briggs part list does not show a call out for it, but when I went to put my crankcase cover on the governor fell right off.
