  1. isnt that 300 series briggs nothing more then the same engine they started producing back in the 60's or 70's (not sure exactly how old). i think they cheapened it up, and the original engines did not have plastic carburetors… they also used to run on points and condenser

  2. For keeping track of the bolts, you should take a piece of cardboard, label whatever came off (e.g, carb bolts) and poke holes through the cardboard and keep track of the bolts that way.
