  1. I have only mowed with it twice,>>>  but I love the operation and the clean cut you get with this machine. I do not have a big lot, less than 17,000 square feet with several large buildings, but I love this machine. Speed is adjustable, height is adjustable, handling is very good, breaks are great, comfortable to mow with (I am 6'5", 235), has a hitch for pulling rakes, spreaders, etc.

  2. I have this exact model Bolens/MTD 13AM762F065 but the model number has rusted off the top of the engine's cylinder and I need to order replacement parts. Can anyone who has this exact model let me know what the B&S engine model number/cylinder info is? Thanks!

  3. I've had this mower for eight years. The only problem is a plastic grommet that holds the steering rod at the bottom. After replacing the steering system, I replaced this grommet with a couple washers. I believe this is a must, especially if you are mowing on rolling hills.

  4. I need to know how the Bolens 38 inch cut, brake spring is attached on the right side as you sit on it. Mine is off and I don't know how it was attached. Anyone!

  5. why make a video of a lawn tractor and not start it?  is it broke?  I want to hear it run before I buy it!
I like a walk around and to start it up

  6. So I've had this mower since it was new in 2006, it cuts the grass cut that's all I care about and haven't had any problems. A couple weeks ago I pulled it out and when I cleaned out the crap between the deck and frame I found a broke spring. It was barely hanging on to a hole just left of the hex nut to level the deck. I could not figure out where it went or what it did but my mower rattled and squeaked crazy. So it's driving me crazy I'm looking at manuals and none of them show it then I say some geek probably posted on utube replacing a belt or something and wow at 2:062:09 there it is. Yay and thank you

  7. Nice video, thanks for that and you did not move the camera around to fast at all. (1) But can you switch gears on the fly? (2) on the engage mower, what are the numbers for, the height? or the speed or what? I'm getting one in a day or two. Thank yo very much Sir. 🙂

  8. i bought this mower like 3 years ago ive had no problems with it then again i service it at the start of every season plugs and a oil change sharpen the blades and it always runs right.

  9. I have a 1971 Bolens 1256 Hydro. It was built in Port Washington, WI and still runs like new. Those were great tractors and a whole lot of them are still working. What you see here is a cheap department store lawn mower. My rear differential weights more than this lawn mower. But it sure appeals to todays more feminine men.

  10. I have the same model Bolens by MTD. The mowers is of OK quality for the price. The main drive belt wears out rather quickly.Replace it with a green Gates 6969 extra heavy duty belt. The smaller drive belt you can get at Lowes it does not get as much wear and tear. If it scalps your yard make sure the two nuts on the big hook bolt located in front of the deck are completely tight. Is a Cub Cadet by MTD really any better? Oh, if you have thousands to spend rather than hundreds by a Simplicity
