Briggs & Stratton Folding Lawn Mower Engine: How the Technology Works

The Briggs & Stratton Mow N’ Stow┬« mower engine can be stored upright for more space and easy maintenance. Learn about this new technology in our video!

In this video, Marketing Manager at engine maker Briggs & Stratton, P.J. Benjamins, in partnership with Chief Development Engineer at Toro, John Hurst, explain the exciting feats of small engine engineering and lawn mower design that went into creating the new Toro Recycler mower featuring the Briggs & Stratton Mow ‘n’ Stow small engine.

All aspects of the usual mower engine design had to be examined and modified to ensure no fuel or oil leakage would occur when the lawn mower is stored upright. From the carburetor to the fuel tank, Briggs & Stratton engineers tweaked every aspect so that the engine can safely be stored upright. The result? Not only can this lawn mower be stored upright, saving you up to 70% of your garage space, but it’s easier to access the bottom of your machine for more effective cleaning and maintenance. (But don’t worry — it’s also easy to fold it to store upright! No dead lift required.)

You can find the exciting new Toro Recycler lawn mower with Smartstow at Toro dealers, select Home Depot stores, and online at Toro.com and HomeDepot.com.
