  1. Before installing the carburator side of the fuel filter, it's a good idea to hold it lower than the gas tank to sort of "prime" the filter and lines and get rid of air in the lines. Fill the filter and run a little gas out the end into a pan, install the filter in the final fuel line and it should start right up!
