Short video showing the damage that can be done when a 2 stroke / cycle engine isn’t adequately lubricated with oil. Fortunately being a tough cast iron block, damage was limited and this motor was cheaply repaired. This newer version of the classic power torque Victa 160cc engine (shown in the video) has half as many cooling fins on the bore. It’s now common to see piston ring problems, especially on the exhaust port side of the piston with this changed engine. Cutting down the cooling fins could only lead to reduced engine life. What was Victa thinking? Planned obsolescence by greedy industry is a reality bitch now days. Too bad Victa, this mower lives again saving the customer $400+ on a new one of the same model.
