The first two digits 81 means –¬†the year made 1981 and the second two digits¬†03 means¬†– the month March, ¬†the third two digits 23 means –¬†23rd¬†day of the month, and the last two digits 03 means – the place were it was built. So the¬†manufacturing date is,¬†March 23, 1981 –¬†Milwaukee, Wisconsin )
