  1. great buy if you like developing your arm and shoulder muscles. Never swear? You will also learn to develop fine skills trying to start this piece of sh…. Had one for 5 years – it never fails to disappoint. Worst buy ever- for $ 700 !!!

  2. Thanks for the video! I have a newer 6.5 HP briggs and stratton that won't start, and will use some of your steps to see if I can get it going again!

  3. Thanks for the helpful video. About to do some work on mine (same model) this weekend and this was exactly what I needed.

  4. So in most cases the carb need to be cleaned? Where can I buy the replacement parts home depot, Walmart, Sears?

  5. I did everything you did in rebuilding the carburetor and it worked fine. But now I find myself pulling the cord 4-6 times to get it going. Should I clean the bowl and screw out again?

  6. Heads up… Modern gasoline has additives including ethanol. They will play hell with your small engine if you let them set in the system. Dump the gas out by turning the unit on the low side to drain it and then give it a few pulls to clear the carb out. If needed, take the fuel bowl off and empty it. I have used the same unit for almost 30 years by doing this.
