  1. thanks for the vid..would you happen to know where i could find a repair manual online for this mower? ive had no luck..

  2. hey partner, I got my first self propelled lawn mower this summer and yesterday, i could not get the front drive to engage, so now, thanks to you, i know how to take the cover off and change the belt. My instruction guide from craftsman was no help at all.

  3. My Yardman mower keeps breaking the belt. It seems too loose. I'm a girl and know nothing about mowers. Please help!

  4. Thank you for posting this. I had no idea where the pulley was as it was under a cover. Now I'm able to reuse the self propel feature.

  5. Thanks for the video, I did this today using your guide. For those that have a belt cover underneath the lawnmower: to remove this cover, the blade must be removed (1 bolt) and then the blade adapter (keyed) must be slid out from the shaft. You can slightly tap the adapter several times with a hammer while using a pair of pliers to slide it out.

  6. I have a husqvarna hu700f. There is no debris shield on the bottom of the mower to prevent the grass from filling up under the drive belt cover. I compared this mower with a poulan self propelled PR625Y22RKP The two diagrams are identical except for the debris cover under the mower. If I order this poulan cover do you think it would fit my husqvarna. The reason I want to do this is because every few weeks I have to remove the top drive belt cover and keep cleaning all the grass out. Thanks

  7. What's not included in the video is a 2nd belt guard (Debris Guard) on the underside of the mower deck. It was there on mine and might be on yours. To remove it, remove the blade and the blade adapter which hold the blade on. The adapter is slotted and is held on by just the hex bolt holding on the mower blade. Tap it gently to loosen it and remove the debris guard. Replace the belt and reinstall everything back in reverse order….

  8. Thanks, I didn't know if mine was broke, after checking belt was slipping, now it's a easy fix, saved me money from going to a repair shop, thanks

  9. This video is great.  I have a self-propelled Craftsman that has a slipping belt.  Its been getting steadily worse until it no longer provides any propulsion. I've been worried about how difficult changing the belt is going to be.  Thanks for showing how it's done.

  10. Thank you so much for posting this!  I did it myself and saved $65!  Of course, you make it look so easy, but I eventually got it done!  Thanks again!

  11. I cleaned the belt  area on my self-propelled from wheel drive Craftsman lawnmower.  Am I supposed to re-lube the area?  I wiped away all the oil and then realized that some of it was probably supposed to be there?
