Homemade Twin Turdos: Will Our DIY Forced Induction Make More Horsepower??

Turbos and superchargers: pretty expensive, right? We think so too. We were looking at a fan setup in one of our offices and thought to ourselves “hey, we could make a turbo/supercharger out of that for ‘almost’ free”. But the big questions is… will it work? Or will it set on fire? Thanks to Scumbag Labs, these questions can be answered.

  1. The only reason it made significantly more power is because you severely reduced air intake by strapping all that stuff to it dropping the power way below what it would have been stock. Turning the turdos on just allowed it to get air bringing the power back up to around where it would be if you left it stock.

  2. american technology amaze me!!! How can such a big engine develop so little power??? In the 60's porsche with a small 2.0 flat 6 developped 180bhp.
