  1. I have seen that happen a few times. It causes gas to have problems flowing into carb because it air cannot flow into tanks as it flows to carburetor

  2. New gas caps are garbage, they rely on venting through a gasket – terrible design. There is a simple solution. Keep your original cap for maintenance purposes only (turning mower on its side). Purchase a new cap and remove the metal insert. Now drill a tiny hole (smallest drill bit you have) in the center of the cap (penetrate completely through the cap). Works for me.

  3. i need to figure out a cap that vents better. i have the power cranked way up on my mower and it suffers bad when i close the cap
