  1. I am glad that you talked about those two wires. The charger wire and the lights wire. I thought it was the charger wire and ground wire. I could have smoke something.

  2. LOL I was sold right after the camo jacket cam into frame. Any man with a camo jacket in a barn fit for a meth lab has to know what he's talking about!

  3. Howdy there I have a question, there are two wires(what I think are kill wires) that are coming out of my motor, there is a one on the float bowl, and one that goes into the motor, witch one is my kill wire?

  4. U are completly wrong about those wires.the wire that comes out of regulator,is what chargez ur battery.those wires u mentioned r for lights and acc.

  5. I have this engine I can't figure out how to hook up the throttle wire. Can you show me in a video how to do this. I can find every other type of throttle control except this one. Thanks!

  6. So this is DC power coming through those two wires ? And if so what keeps your battery from over charging. Like wheres the voltage regulator ?

  7. Basically all these wires, IF your going to use a key switch will end up at the key switch. On the back of the key switch are letters that indicate what wire goes where. M G L S , M is for the magneto or coil that is the kill switch. G is ground , L is for the lights , S is for the Solenoid and that wire you should install a inline fuse. There are videos out there that explain this better than I can. But you get the idea.

  8. Heres one for ya, I am working on a 36" cut Statesman rider with a 18HP Briggs & Stratton Intek twin.
I had it running with the assistance of a battery charger and the last time I turned it off I saw something smoking, turned out that the kill wire fried at the joint connector that goes to both coils.
I removed the kill wire from both coils, still not getting any spark from either coil, both coils tested 4.5 ohms.
    What am I missing.

  9. Man i got a question on these engines mine is turning over real slow i got a new starter, and battery, and solenoid all the wiring looks good and good connections someone told me to adjust my valves but they don't have rocker arm, so can the valves be adjusted on this engine? thanks

  10. So, if I understand right (a rare event in my world it seems) the diode in the red wire provides rectification to convert the ac from the alternator to dc to charge the battery and no other rectifier is anywhere in the charging system? What provides voltage regulation? The more I learn, the dumber I get……………..
