How to drain oil trick on Briggs and Stratton lawn tractor engine.

Cheap way to drain oil without making a big mess if you have this similar issue with no drain tubes. There are also specific parts that are made for doing this but I needed something in a pinch. Different models may not need this.

  1. you are genius! you just saved me 8 dollars. thanks. these mowers have shitty design for the drain plug location.

  2. I have actually done that but didn’t know where I put the one I made so I used a damp piece of thick cardboard. I did it outside so no big deal for the little bit of spill. Now if I can figure out how to get the stripped screw off my air filter I will be good to go.

  3. OMG seriously…. Thank you, your video is the only video that shows a way to change the oil without the oil drain tube thingy. I don't know much about engines and what not so I was over here freaking out thinking I can't drain the oil without the stupid tube and now I know I can AND what tool to use so thank you, thank you!

  4. You know that those are pipe threads and you can buy a small piece of pipe at hardware stores and put it out a little beyond the frame. And put a pipe cap on it with thread/pipe tape.
