These starters are a piece of shit design because when the engine gets hot the end of the crankshaft expands and catches inside the aluminium rotor and then proceeds to wind the starter spring backwards and bend the fuck out of it and this is even after I cleaned the crankshaft with sandpaper and reamed the alloy rotor out with a drill bit then oiled the little felt pad inside the end of the rotor 🙁
