How to Replace a Spark Plug on a Toro Recycler Lawn Mower

In this video, a Weingartz expert demonstrates how to replace a spark plug on a Toro Super Recycler Lawn Mower.

For today’s demonstration we are using a Toro Super Recycler. You want to make sure that the Engine is cooled and all moving parts are stopped.

The next step you want to do when doing any type of maintenance is you want to remove the spark plug boot from the spark plug and move it to the side.

The tools you will need are a ratchet, an extension, and a 13/16 socket and by turning clockwise, you can then remove the spark plug from the head of the engine.

You always want to assemble the new spark plug by hand, this way by doing these, you can tell the treads are going in correctly and you won’t strip the treads out of the head of the engine.

Once you feel the spark plug is up against the engine, you can tighten it up until it’s compressed and then make one final turn.

Replace the spark plug boot back onto the new spark plug.

And that completes the demonstration of removing and replacing your spark plug.

  1. I needed to know the gap distance!  Noooooo!!!!  Size of plug, any tolerable replacements, and how often it should be changed regardless of wear?  Otherwise I found out all I needed.

  2. does the the toro have an oil filter? I have a 22 inch toro recycler and can find no reference to it on the internet or can find one on my mower. What the hell is going on? Can you help
