Making a throttle adjustment for the mower

My old mower was all over the place when running. It would idle high then low. I came up with a way to adjust the throttle with some homemade fixtures.

  1. WARNING; THIS IS A WASTE OF TIME !! iTS JUST A GOOD OLE BOY RAMBLING ON ABOUT WHAT HE WANTS TO DO. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT HE REALLY EVER ACCOMPLISHED ANYTHING EXCEPT WASTE THE VIEWERS TIME.

  2. You were saying the riveted part dont move for the throttle, yes it does!! I should know, I work on mower's all the time. That was just a waste of time doing what you did!!!

  3. Also that black plastic linkage that the little fucken link attaches to operates the throttle butterfly inside the throat of the carby. NO need to fucken modify this carby champ.

  4. You don't need that long piece of wire, your carby has all the parts it needs. That long spring you already have there keeps tension on the governer and controls the RPM's. The governer is the plastic flap that is underneath the starter cover that gets pushed out by the air generated by the fins when the flywheel rotates. The reason your mower is probably revving it's fucken guts out is because the straight wire you have put there  is NOT allowing the long spring to do it's fucken task my friend. That wire you put there is holding the revs up.

  5. The spring is there for the governor to adjust itself when you get into heavy grass, the way you have it set up your machine probably would want to stall out.

  6. you werent missing any springs. it looked to me like your throttle plate, apart from being mangle was turned way too much clockwise. but too late now.

  7. On the bottom left hand side is a Play/Pause button. Next time, If I go on and on, use it and find another channel to check out. I have to do that some times.

  8. That would be the best way. I think it was 9 pm and I was looking for a project to get into. I looked but had no springs in the garage. The one item I don't have excess of, lol.

  9. Thanks a lot. Glad you liked the idea. It is easy to go buy some of the things I make, but I like the challenge of doing projects. Thanks for the sub, I appreciate it.
