  1. Thank you so much for posting this.  My 10 year old mower is running great especially since I recently tuned it up, but some day I'll have to clean out the carb.  You did a great job as narrator and cameraman.  Lighting and shadows weren't bad at all.

  2. Thanx, helped loads, did not even need to rebuild carb, bowl flush and clean plug, vid was easy to follow and saved me having some hack tell me they can't be repaired as parts no longer avail.

  3. Thanks a bunch.  I had to let my mower sit for 2-3 years as I was working out of town, so it would not start without starting fluid.  But it would only run 2-3 seconds.  I cleaned out the bowl and screw etc like you said to do, and voila – it runs again.  Thanks again – great video.

  4. Hi, thanks for your helpful video…I was able to start up and cut my lawn with a Lawnmower-Toro 6.0 HP Model 20010 after it sat in storage for 10 years…it started
after 2 pulls…thanks again for video!!!

  5. USE AIRPLANE FUEL LAST 10 YEARS WON NEED ANY OF THIS, I KEEP FULL DONT USE E-10 ETHANOL ABSORBS MOISTURE EVEN IT YOU RAN IT OUT, NO PROTECTION . GAS TO CLEAN THEN USE DRILL BOOM? NEVER RUN THE PILOT SCREW IN HARD LIGHTLY SEAT SCREW THEN 1,5 TURNS OUT IS FACTORY SETTING.

  6. Thank for putting this information out there it sure helped me out! My father passed away and I got his mower out of storage and after I watched your video, I did everything put it back together and it cranked first pull but then it dies push the primer a few times, cranks right up and dies do it again etc. So I have to start over guess it's the holes in carb cup bolt, I was told we'll see! Thanks again!

  7. YOU DO NOT WANT TO POWER WASH RIDING LAWNMOWERS, BECAUSE IT WILL CORRODE AND RUIN THE SAFETY SWITCHES OF WHICH THERE ARE 3 IN MOST RIDING MOWERS, SEAT, BLADE, CLUTCH/BRAKE.

  8. Another tip – if there is gas in it still – even on a ride on – wear a high quality mask – varnished gas will screw your entire day up – and once you get a wiff… you'll smell it all day and feel nauseous – youll have to replace the fuel lines, filter and pull the carb out and clean the hell out of it. Just a quick tip that a lot of people might be able to take advantage of 🙂 Hit like if this helps!

  9. My lawnmower just stop. I haven't used it since April. I have a Troy bilt TB 110/ 550ex 140. I put gas on the carburetor (I hope that spell correctly ) it tried to start up but didn't. I checked the filter, gas, and oil. What else can I do? I need your help please, single mother trying to cut my grass.

  10. Thanks very much. and 12 years later, after sitting in the garage all that time, the mower starts up on the 3rd pull. Not bad for a dumb girl, eh? LOL Replaced the oil, air filter, and the gaskets, sanded off the spark plug, and hubs is now outside mowing the lawn (his turn, I mowed it with the electric one last time, what a pain). Had to re-watch the video, cause I couldn't remember how to put the stupid thing back together after the parts showed up. I had been trying to put the float on upside down, and couldn't figure out the needle thingie for the life of me. LOL So I guess next project will be the tiller, and it will be nastier. Thanks again!
