  1.  I hope you gaped those rings and used some 2 stroke oil to pre-lube the con rod bearings and the rings on final assembly. Never out things together dry like that. Also, a thorough cleaning of the cylinder with ATF prior to assembly.  Cheers.

  2. shouldnt really use power tools to start steel bolts into aluminium threads.
the correct way is to use a T handle bar turned anti clockwise until the bolt sits into the thread seat.then nip it up.

  3. lol good video, nice info to know, i just bought a used one and am gonna replace jug carb and stuff just to be safe, i was practically yelling at the screen when ya were trying to get the jug screws tighten down. hahah

  4. Hi. I have a STIHL ts 350 not running right I think I have bad crank shaft bearing. What the right way to check for play. Before I replace bearing and seal. Thx.

  5. Man you look like I do when you was putting the pin through the rod lol like you needed 3 hands  I seen that your tags said tx i did small engine repair in beaumont for 10 yrs great vid any true tech knows that none of us are perfect

  6. Very helpful video, I also did a hole rebuild. Still not starting. Is there a certain position for TDC when installing the coil? For correct timing I mean.

  7. I have seen some things made where it seemed like the primer bulb went from the bulb to the carb intake side what difference does it make and can you leave the coil on if you wanted to when doing this. I have a old TS400 that has 60 pounds of compression so it don't run right and I am hoping to do what you did to get it going again to get a descent bit more good use from it. I have never done this. Only a few carb rebuilds, muffler replacements, throttle lines, and a coil. Nothing this involved yet. Whats your thoughts on a Hyways nikasil repair kit? Also any other suggestions should be be appreciated. Thanks

  8. Got done with this repair. Saw ran great for 10 seconds then died. Wrist pin retainer clip came out and got between the piston and cylinder wall. Buggered up the piston a tiny bit. Had to break the rings to get them off. Buffed out the piston, cleaned the grooves, got a new set of rings, and made damn sure that little clip was in the groove this time. Saw runs like new. Be sure to use your magnifier specs or a magnifying glass to make DAMN SURE that little clip in seated in the groove!!!!lol
