Replacing the Air Filter – Toro Lawn Mower

Toro Lawn Mower Air Filters: https://www.jackssmallengines.com/Products/TORO/Air-Filters

This video shows you how to replace the air filter (#491588S) on a Toro Super Recycler Lawn Mower.

The air filter on a lawn mower helps prevent dust, dirt, and debris from entering the carburetor and the internal parts of your engine. A dirty air filter disrupts the proper air flow needed to mix with the fuel to power your engine. Common symptoms of a clogged air filter include power loss, starting trouble, and increased fuel consumption.

Replacing a dirty or damaged air filter will increase the efficiency and prolong the life of your lawn mower.

*Jack’s Safety Tips: Before servicing or repairing any power equipment, disconnect the spark plug. Remember to wear appropriate safety gear to protect against harmful chemicals and debris.

  1. Thanks for this video. Apparently everyone but me knows that a lawn mower has an air filter that needs changing from time to time. When I friend suggested my mower might be stopping because it needed the filter cleaned, I was happy to find your simple instructions. And, yes, Tony Garcia, I was able to do it myself :>)
