Ryobi 6.5hp BRIGGS & STRATTON LAWN MOWER CARBURETOR CLEAN $5 LAWN MOWER FLIP FOR $95 PROFIT

Bought a $5 ryobi lawnmower off the inter webs and flipped it for $100.
The guy sold it because he said it didn’t start. The blade was loose, so I tightened it. I primes it a few times and it started, but stopped after a few seconds. I took apart the carburetor and cleaned it. Starts now and runs great. Washed it up and posted for $100.

update: sold for $100

  1. I have had 2 of these ryobi mowers. Both bought in around 2007-2008. Had to get rid of one. It started making this horrible clanking rattling sound. If I would pull the starter cord out all the way then slowly let it back in it’d stop the noise. But, return a minute later. Never could figure out the issue. Got rid of it because it was so loud and annoying. It still cut grass and ran though. The other I’m still using today but it too has started this noise. Just not quite as loud. Hopefully it doesn’t get worse. The thing drinks oil too. Gotta add about 2oz after every few hours of mowing. Makes no difference the grade either. 5w-40 or 10w30, straight 30. May try 20w50. I have plenty.

  2. Just got mine broken down. Got to go get some carb cleaner in the morning. Hoping this takes care of mine. It just quit running out of the blue. Great detailed and clear instructions.
