  1. @9595Redneck I would have put in a new spark plug if it had needed it , but this was not the case and besides a new spark plug would not have fixed the problem as it wasn't getting fuel to the plug . The carberature was stopped up and no new plug will fix that , the only fix is to clean carberature . I could have still replaced the spark plug, but why replace it if it dosen't need replacing ?

  2. @MrMilitantviper you cannot use WD-40 or liquid wrench to clean carburetors other than lubrucating the external linkages. Not sure about brake cleaners, I would think so, WhizKid would know what could be used. He should be on here sometime today. -MrFixit

  3. @MrMilitantviper , Hi , it took a while to get back on here to answer you , but had bad storms yesterday evening and no electricity . WD-40 or Liquid Wrench might work in a pinch if the carb is very barely dirty . It mostly lubricates and frees the linkages . WD- 40 and LW aren't as good as they used to be . To clean a carb you need a can of carb. spray cleaner . Costs just about the same as WD-40 .

  4. @ESRepair If the carb is really dirty ,then you might need to soak it in a bucket of carb. cleaner ,availabe at a good auto parts store . If the carb is really old or dirty then you might need to rebuild the carb. with new gaskets . Make sure that when soaking the carb to remove the plastic or rubber parts and only spray the metal parts with the spray as it can damage non metal parts . Clean as I demostrated in the videos .

  5. @ESRepair As for brake cleaner , it's better than nothing and can do in a pinch , but you need a can of carb cleaner . I had to reply to this in multiple posts so read posts above .

  6. For those of you who don't speak "rednecklish" I will translate as best I can:
SIDEKICK=DAWG – BOAT=BOLT – HONDAY=HONDA – HOAD=HOLD – BAKDARE= BACK THERE – DATDOIT=THAT MIGHT WORK – AT 6:50 not sure, I THINK ITS "DONT BARBY DA RIBS ON DA MUFFLER" – 7:24 – "DAT ARROW DAKES DA BOAT AAF" – THE BOLT WILL COME OFF WITH THE PROPER TOOL" – 20:17 "FLY GOT DANG IN MY MOUF SPIT ER OUT" – Dinner soon or I'd EAT IT. HAD to shut it off, couldnt listen to Arkansenglish anymore.

  7. u know why they put those peices of metal on those bolts. its on the fuel mixture. the government requires them so people wont richen their engines up because of air pollution and fuel economy. What id like to do is cut those things off and weld them to all them government officials or whatever they are called cars keys.

  8. I didn't know that Warriordriver350, of course i'm not the expert on small engines. Nothing about the government surprises me anymore. -MrFixit

  9. true in a way its pretty much there to stop anyone from adjusting the fuel mixture. It could "seize" it up or lock it up or score out the piston if it runs too lean. Over revving is a different story.

  10. you seem quite young, you should protect your health from those spray chemical who are toxic and absorb by the skin as well to your whole system .WEAR GLOVES AND MASK .i know by experience.you can repair your carb but you wouldn't be able to repair your body

  11. +ESRepair if you watched +TheVaporkid you would throw the carburetor away and start spending a lot less money on gas, just watch his gas vapor video's and you'll see, and if your a skeptic about it, I've done this with a 2 cycle engine and it worked great, but i don't have a way to make the oil go to the engine with the vapor sysem on it, and i didn't want to burn it up, so i hooked it back up to the gas tank, but I'm definitely getting this hooked up on my truck when i get the time.
